Just remembered this 2022 Korean paper I haven't seen commercialize yet: Do a harmonic drive but with a plate flexing to mesh the teeth axially instead of radially. Drastically better stiffness and a much smaller, easier to make high precision part. https://t.co/42eJOqbNyp
