🇻🇪 SUMMARY OF U.S. COURT: MADURO DECLARES HIMSELF “PRISONER OF WAR” IN U.S. COURT - CILIA FLORES SEEN WITH VISIBLE INJURIES

During a dramatic court appearance in the U.S., Maduro declared himself the “president of Venezuela” and a “prisoner of war,” while his wife, Cilia Flores, appeared with visible injuries on her temple and forehead.

According to CNN, both appeared “stoic” in court.

When asked to identify himself, Maduro said he was the president, began speaking about being captured from his home, and was interrupted by the judge.

He took notes throughout the hearing, pleaded not guilty, and described himself as a "decent man."

Maduro spoke confidently, fingertips resting on the desk, while Cilia kept her hands clenched, “much more demure, much more withdrawn.”

As they were escorted out, a protester stood up and shouted:

“You will pay for what you have done to Maduro.”

Maduro reportedly pointed to the sky and said he was a “man of God” and “the president of the Republic.”
